New England is the political region in the northeastern part of the United States of America. The region's 100 highest peaks can only be found in 3 of the six states. The region is known for fishing and the region's only national park is in Maine: Acadia National Park. 5 of the 6 six states border an inlet or directly border the Atlantic Ocean, with the exception being Vermont, which borders Lake Champlain. Maine, Vermont, and New Hampshire all touch Canada.
